Atomus Aegis - Guide

Welcome to the Atomus Aegis User Guide! Learn how to use your Aegis app to your full advantage.

The Aegis user guide outlines all of the different functionalities of the Aegis app, and how to utilize these features to help your day-to-day. Let's dive in!

The Protection Shield 

Your Aegis protection shield is running at all times, ensuring that you are working safely and compliantly. 

You Are now protected UpdatedIf your protection shield is red, click on the shield to start your protection shield. 

If you're experiencing any problems with getting your Aegis protection shield to green, please raise a support ticket with us.

VPN

Did you know that Aegis comes with a built-in VPN client? You can connect to a VPN to surf the web or take part in your daily work. 

If you see the disconnected status, that means your VPN is connected -- but currently not on. 

Disconnected VPN

If you are looking to use a VPN while you work, simply click the switch next to the VPN button, after a few seconds your VPN status will be connected. 


See an error on your VPN? No worries! Just click the refresh button next to the VPN, and after the VPN refreshes, you should see the disconnected status. 

Still experiencing trouble on your VPN? Refer to the VPN troubleshooting guide and follow the steps listed.

If you are still experiencing trouble, raise a support ticket with us, and we can help your VPN get up and running. 

Backup 

Aegis automatically backs up your data to the cloud weekly in order to keep all of your files and work safe. 

You can also start a manual backup on Aegis by clicking the arrow circling button, this will begin a backup of your device. 

After the backup starts up, you will see a percentage of completion for your device's backup.

If you want to stop a backup while it's in progress, go ahead and press the Stop button. The backup status will then change to Run. There will also be a status on how much is backed up with the last date and time.

If you see error as the backup status, first click the circle refresh button to refresh your Backup.

If you are still experiencing an error status on your backup after you refresh, raise a support ticket with us, and we will help get your backup up and running. 

Compliance Health Check

Aegis has a health check for you so can know how healthy your device is in regard to compliance. 

Compliance Tests

NOTE: If you are running on a Windows Machine, you will have 8 tests. If you are running on a Mac Machine, you will have 4 tests. 

If you're experiencing an error on compliance health check status, click the circle refresh button to run the health check once again. 

If you have less than a perfect score, you can also click the circle refresh button to re-run the health check. 

Organization Connection 

The organization connection feature verifies that you are connected your company's Aegis.

If you're see an error status in your organization connection section, click the circle refresh button to connect with your organization's Aegis system. 

 

If you're unable to connect to your organization's Aegis, raise a support ticket with usand we'll help you get connected with your organization.

If you are looking for some help with your Aegis app, click on the help button in the bottom right corner of your Aegis app. You'll be taken straight to the Atomus Aegis documentation site, where you can review helpful articles and create support tickets.
